Kokoda Grunt
Q: So what is a "Grunt"?
A: Grunt is a term used for an infantry soldier, one worn with pride.
And so the Kokoda Grunt is the "foot soldier" of the Kokoda Challenge - Australia's premier endurance event. Kokoda Challenge now takes Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice one step further - sideways, to bring you a new, extreme challenge in the form of the Kokoda Grunt.
The inaugural Kokoda Grunt was a great success and will be repeated in 2014! They are excited to be planning their new obstacles and improved course! And look out for their new Grommet Grunt Obstacle Course for the younger enthusiasts.
From courses of five kilometres for the newly recruited adventurers, to the grueling 10 kilometres for the more seasoned competitors, they will have you sweating, laughing, crying and begging for more. Bring your friends and family to cheer you on.

Live at Bond - Nicky Bomba's Bustamento
Bond University and Bleach* Festival present Nicky Bomba's Bustamento in their first ever Gold Coast performance ... and it's free!
Nicky Bomba is one of Australia's most popular and respected musicians. His band Bustamento is a tropical shaking six piece that pays homage to the upbeat rhythms of the Caribbean - calypso, mento (Jamaican folk), reggae and ska.
Bustamento's amazing chemistry comes from the band having played together for more than 15 years, including in Nicky Bomba's twice ARIA-nominated Melbourne Ska Orchestra.
Supporting performer Tyus Arndt is a Thursday Islander, and starred in the popular Qantas ad. He has performed in the USA with the Gondwana Choir, and at the Sydney Opera House. He's rarely seen without his ukelele.
Plus, special guest appearance by multi-award winning, innovative, enigmatic poet David 'Ghostboy' Stavanger, as part of the Poetry Gallery (open from 2pm).
